Susan Crawford, a Pines Bach LLP partner, was honored yesterday as one of the top members of the Wisconsin’s legal community, receiving a prestigious “Leader in the Law” award for her legal expertise and career achievements. The award was presented by the Wisconsin Law Journal at its annual awards dinner and ceremony held at the Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee.

“This is well-deserved recognition for Susan Crawford,” said senior partner Lester Pines. “Her skills in trial and appellate courts and her advocacy for women’s reproductive rights, collective bargaining, voting rights and environmentally sound energy production reflect what an outstanding lawyer and person she is.”

Susan Crawford earned her B.A. in 1987 from Lawrence University, cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, her M.A from Indiana University in 1989 and her law degree with high distinction from the University of Iowa in 1994 . Prior to joining Pines Bach LLP in 2011, she was the Chief Legal Counsel to Governor Jim Doyle, held a number of positions in his administration and had been an Assistant Attorney General and Director of Criminal Appeals with the Wisconsin Department of Justice.
