Susan Crawford Becomes A Partner

Pines Bach LLP is pleased to announce that Susan Crawford has become a partner in the firm. Her practice focuses on civil litigation and regulatory proceedings in the areas of energy and utilities, environmental, political law, and labor law. She has practiced in state and federal courts at both the trial and appellate court levels and in regulatory and administrative agency proceedings. With a background that includes substantial experience in high-level state government positions, Susan brings her clients a thorough understanding of governmental and regulatory processes and a broad network of contacts in state and local government.

Ms. Crawford has represented clients in a number of high-profile cases, including a constitutional challenge to the state “Voter ID” law and a contractual dispute between a passenger train manufacturer and the State of Wisconsin. She also has represented clients in administrative proceedings before the Wisconsin Public Service Commission and in campaign finance and election matters before the Government Accountability Board. She frequently provides counsel to clients on legislative, regulatory, campaign finance, Open Records, public meeting, and ethics code issues.

Prior to joining the firm, Susan served as Chief Legal Counsel in the Office of Governor Jim Doyle and held executive-level positions at several state agencies, including overseeing environmental enforcement and the Office of Energy as an administrator at the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. She also served as an Assistant Attorney General and director of the Criminal Appeals Unit at the Wisconsin Department of Justice.
